Description
188 E Ring Phosphate is a nucleotide analog that is used in molecular biology research. It is a structural analog of deoxyadenosine triphosphate (dATP), but with a phosphate group attached to the 5′ carbon of the ribose ring instead of the 3′ carbon. This modification makes 188 E Ring Phosphate a poor substrate for DNA polymerases, but it can be incorporated into DNA by terminal transferase. 188 E Ring Phosphate is often used in DNA sequencing reactions to label the 5′ ends of DNA fragments. It can also be used in other applications, such as DNA footprinting and chromatin immunoprecipitation.
